01Daybreak
Above the fog
When fog settles in the Kamenice valley, you look out over it from the house. Mist below you, the sun over the ridge opposite.
View from the house into the valley, winter
Velké Hamry · Jizera Mountains50.7237 N 15.3033 E
A whole house above the Kamenice valley, just for your group. Two bedrooms, three bathrooms, a wood stove and the forest thirty metres behind the house.
01House
A new two-storey house at the top edge of the village, where the houses end and the forest begins. Downstairs you cook and sit by the big windows, upstairs you sleep. It is always let as a whole — no other guests, nothing shared.
At a glance
02Winter
From first light over the valley to an evening by the stove.
01Daybreak
When fog settles in the Kamenice valley, you look out over it from the house. Mist below you, the sun over the ridge opposite.
02Morning
Below the house an orchard slopes away and the valley opens up beyond it. The forest starts thirty metres behind the house — walks begin at the front door.
03Afternoon
A lane through the spruces leads to the door. The Tanvaldský Špičák ski slopes are just under five kilometres away as the crow flies.
4×4In winter only four-wheel-drive cars can drive right up to the house. Other cars park for free nearby.
04Blue hour
The big living-room windows face the garden. Outside it turns blue and dark, inside the underfloor heating keeps you warm.
„A real bonus is the unique view straight from the sofa, which has its charm at any time of day and in any weather.“
05Evening
Kitchen, dining table and living room with the wood stove form one large room, so the whole group is together. The bedrooms are upstairs.
